Where do their endless missiles come from?
I mentioned during my previous post that I’m busy playing Macross Ace Frontier with my PSP. It’s a 3D shooting game which I don’t like as I can’t control very well. However, I started to get addicted to this game after playing through a few stages. One of the reasons is that you can enjoy the songs from the Macross series while playing the stage, especially songs from Macross and Macross Frontier. Another reason is the graphic and the various mechanics. The graphic is well done and you can customize the colour of the mechanics. Also, you can enjoy piloting planes and robots, or even both combined. But the main reason that keep me playing the game is actually the homing missiles. As I’m not very good at playing 3D shooting game, homing missiles really help a lot. I also enjoy shooting plenty of missiles and watching how the missiles fly towards the target. Below is one of their videos.
You start the game by choosing the main pilot and partner. After that, you will play through different stages from Macross, Macross Plus, Macross 7 and Macross Frontier. When you finish the stage, you are awarded points for both pilot and mechanic to improve their abilities. You will also be given a rank, from E to SS. This is the part that pulls me down. The ranks lets you unlock some of the ace pilots, mechanics and extra missions. As some stages are hard to obtain a S or SS, you will end up replaying the stage again and again. Also, the extra missions are too difficult for me (I’m not a pro). T_T
I’m still playing the game now and I only left the extra missions uncompleted. I enjoyed the game even though i only watched Macross Frontier and a bit of Macross, so I can say that this game is a must have for Macross fans. You can visit the official website for more video and screenshots.
Another good news is that I can go to Danny Choo’s workshop next week. Yeah! Only thing left is waiting for my leave to be approved, which I hope that it can make it on time.
