Think I will end my STGCC 09 series with this post. Whenever I attend STGCC, I will end up like a fan boy, chasing and lining up for autographs. Since last year, I was slowly being influenced by my brother and the STGCC, and slowly getting attracted by different arts and designer toys. Above is the autograph of Mori Chack, creator of Gloomy Bear. Didn’t have any autograph book or board with me last year, so I end up letting him signed on the back of my sticker. I think I should frame this up. Hehe. I even bought the figure, which looks really good. Too bad he’s not at the STGCC this year.
I bought an autograph book specially for this year’s event. And this is the first autograph in my book by Joe Ledbetter.
He always arrive early before the convention starts to arrange his toys, which I don’t normally see from other artists in the convention.
Autograph of Tokidoki.
Had gotten lots of autograph from Tokidoki during this year’s convention. And he’s able to sign on my mum’s small cactus Hello Kitty key chain. Great signing skill. ^^
Autograph of Gary Baseman.
He drawn two drawings specially for his two helpers at the end of the whole convention. The girl in the drawings resembles each of the helpers.
Autograph of Camilla d’Errico.
Didn’t manage to take a photograph with her, so I will use my brother’s photo. ^^; The lady in the middle is Camilla. She illustrates and publishes her own comic book series called Tanpopo. Currently, there are two volumes in the series.
Autograph of 2:Spot.
Not sure about his real name, but I know he’s from Thailand. I like his bunny design and I end up buying a T-shirt from the stall.
The character is called Bloody Bunny. The bunny above is made of clay (if I’m not wrong) and I really want to buy one, but it’s too expensive for me.
Autograph of Psyk.
She shared the booth with my brother. A very talented girl. I like the chibi version of her characters. Hope to see more of her future works.
Autograph of David Horvath.
The creator of Uglydolls. I think most of the characters looks cute than ugly. And how the Uglydolls started sounds like a love story to me.
Autograph of Winson Ma.
He’s one of the member of Brothersfree (铁人三兄弟). However, he goes to the convention on his own as Winson Classic Creation. Looks like I’m getting an award from him in the photo. ^^;
Autograph of Ron English.
Don’t see him often in the event. So when I saw him there packing his bag, I know I can’t miss this chance. A bit blur when signing for the person after me.
Autograph of Kenny Wong.
Another member of Brothersfree (铁人三兄弟). Creator of Molly. Happen to see him on the last day of the event, so again I grab my chance to get his autograph. He signed while standing in the middle of the walkway. And due to this, he have to stop for a while whenever someone pass by.
Autograph of Touma.
One of my favourite artist. And I really like his Goon mask, very cool (though he needs to put a fan below his mask when signing). But he said that it’s hand made and very expensive. He’s now taking order for his Knuckle Bear’s mask before manufacturing, so if you are interested you can email him.
He also signed my Goon. It’s small, but he still manage to sign it. I’m still waiting for his Little Tricksters to be on sale in Singapore. Too bad it’s not on sale during the event.
Finally, autograph of Shinichiro Kitai from DEVILROBOTS.
Again, I don’t have a proper photo of Shinichiro Kitai, so I will use my brother’s photo. Taken during the first day of the event, which is only open to the media. He still look quite lively and energetic. ^^; They don’t sign autograph books this year, so I didn’t manage to have his autograph in my book.
I really hope that I can draw like these artists. Will practice when I’m free. ^^
And I manage to recruit two new members from the event. Both Ed and Al are from Bandai. They are around the same size as Nendoroid Petit Yuki and Yuki’s head can be connected on Ed’s body. However, there will be no holes for stick to support the figure. And Ed’s head can’t connect to Nendoroid Petit’s body, maybe unless you connect it with force. Al’s head can’t be removed, but comes with a small cat.
There are also post about our booth, DEVILROBOTS’s and Tokidoki’s booth.
Wow, very cool autographs. My favorite is Touma.. ^^
Ya. He’s my favourite too.
